A group for adventurous dogs and their people. The plan is to set up meetups for some of our favorite things to do with our dogs: off-leash hiking, walking, group playdates, training field trips, on-leash socialization walks etc. We'll try out new things when we find them...we're open to all suggestions! We don't discriminate based on breed or type, but we do ask that dogs are non-dog-aggressive to attend certain events, such as group playdates or off-leash hikes. 

We are a group of dog enthusiasts who just want to get together with other dogs and their people in a fun environment. Some meetups will be Yappy Hours where there will be adult beverages, dog treats, and finger foods for the people. Other meetups will involve events in the area like a doggy cruise, fundraisers for charity, etc. Anyone who has a dog or loves dogs should join us!

… OFFICIAL NVHC PET POLICY: In general, pets are welcome on NVHC hikes as long as they are well behaved and kept under control at all times.  Dogs should be current on rabies vaccination, wear identification, and be kept on a standard 6-8 foot leash.  Please contact the hike leader in advance if you intend to bring a pet because pets are not permitted on some trails.  All pooper scooper laws must be obeyed.  Remember to bring water for your pet.

The old saying goes, if your dog is over-weight, you are not getting enough exercise. We are excited to meet with other local active, and not so active, dog owners who are interested in running (or walking) with their dog for general fitness or to lose a couple extra pounds (both you and your dog). Runners and walkers are welcome. The goal of the group is too share dog friendly races in the area and to provide a forum so that dog owners can meet and train together.

A group of dedicated women walkers, with or without children, with or without dogs, any age/race/etc, just briskly walking outdoors to stay healthy and fit, every day at a set location - at least 1.7 miles per day. Walk one and all and have a great time! Rain/sleet/snow - or sunshine!
